We are thrilled to announce that Ronaigh Douglas has signed a contract extension with the club, as the versatile midfielder enters her 20th season with Spartans.
A product of our Girls Academy, Ronaigh has been at Spartans since the age of five years old, racking up 192 competitive appearances at first team level since then. The midfielder, now seen as an important leader in the dressing room is extremely well regarded by her peers, earning Players’ Player of the Year for season 22/23. Ronaigh also widely popular amongst the Spartans support, earning plenty fan voted Bad Dino Player of the Match awards throughout the season.
The ever-versatile player, Ronaigh contributes to the side from full-back or midfield and is a staple in Debbi McCulloch’s side. Douglas played 26 games in our 22/23 season as she continued to be a key component in the team.
On signing her new deal, Ronaigh said:
