Lana10Scotland women’s coach Anna Signeul has named a 20-player squad for an international friendly tournament being played in Brazil in December. We are extremely proud that Spartans Lana Clelland has been included in the squad.

Scotland will travel to Brasilia where they will take on Canada on the 11 December, Brazil on the 15th and Chile on the 18th, before finishing off with a final placing match on the 22nd against a team to be decided.

Lana said “I am absolutely delighted and honoured to be given this fantastic opportunity to continue my International career after a year out injured. Playing with and against world class players while representing your country is every players dream and one that I am really looking forward to”.

Having returned from injury to the Spartans line-up after the summer break excellent performances have brought Lana back into the International fold and we at Spartans know what a very special natural football talent Lana is. She is the type of player that can light up any game with a piece of individual skill. Her ability will serve her well on the International stage and we wish her all the very best.
