Ainslie Park will host the future of Women’s football this Wednesday when the Scotland Under-17 team play an International Challenge game against the Republic of Ireland.
Pauline Hamill’s young team will play at the home of Spartans on Wednesday 2 September (kick-off 7pm) in preparation for the start of their Euro Qualifying campaign in October. (more…)
The sun may well have shone at Ainslie Park however Lady Luck refused to do the same as Debbi McCulloch’s injury ravaged Spartans went down 0-3 to Hibernian Ladies.
With the home treatment room now busier than a rush hour train carriage between Edinburgh and Glasgow, the warm-up was marred by an injury to striker Sarah Ewens who was unable to recover which gave youngster Ellie Simpson her first SWPL start. (more…)
It’s Derby Day at Ainslie Park as Spartans welcome Hibernian in Round 16 of the SWPL 2015 season.
Debbi McCulloch will be looking for a change of fortune for her side who go into the game on the back of a trio of narrow and frustrating defeats and victory in the Edinburgh Derby could see Rangers leapfrogged in the Top 6 ladder. (more…)
Women’s Under-17 International Challenge Match

Pauline Hamill has confirmed her Scotland Women’s Under-17 squad for the two matches against the Republic of Ireland at Spartans’ Ainslie Park next month. Scotland will play their Irish counterparts twice in Edinburgh as part of their European Championship qualifiers preparations. (more…)
In unprecedented summery scenes at K-Park, Spartans were stunned in the East Kilbride sun when they went 1-0 down after just three minutes. A free-kick was awarded out wide for an alleged transgression.
Spartans keeper Eartha Cumings came to collect but could only parry as she looked to have been impeded on the penalty spot. The ball broke to Kelly Clark who didn’t wait for the whistle and she popped it home, much to the frustration of the visiting bench. (more…)
Spartans head to west to take on Celtic in Round 15 of the SWPL with a win on their mind as they look to bounce back from last Sunday’s disappointment against Aberdeen.
Debbi McCulloch will be looking for her side to even up proceedings against Celtic, after the Glasgow outfit secured a 0-3 win at Ainslie Park in the corresponding fixture in May. (more…)
