Mya Bates joins Spartans Women F.C.

Spartans Women are delighted to announce the signing of Mya Bates from Glasgow City F.C. The exciting young winger has penned a one year deal ahead of the new SWPL 1 campaign. As Manager Debbi McCulloch continues to build a competitive squad for the league starting in early August, Bates will bring pace and creativeness to our attacking options.

 

 

Speaking to Spartans FC Women, Bates said:

 

“This is a really good and exciting opportunity for me to progress as a player in the SWPL 1. I spoke with Debbi in great depth and have been so impressed by what the club has to offer and the fantastic facilities Spartans have on offer. It’s amazing and has a great atmosphere.”

Hannah Robinson Signs For Spartans

Winger Hannah Robinson has joined Spartans F.C. from Rangers Women F.C. The 18 year old was a part of the Rangers Women Academy and continued her development at the club with both the first team and National Performance League U19’s squad.

 

With a smile on her face, Robinson discussed what it means to sign for Spartans: “Personally, for me, it’s a great achievement to come from an academy set up to a club like Spartans. It’s a great opportunity for myself. The club are looking to push on in the league so I’m looking forward to being a big part of that.”

Donald Park joins Spartans SWPL Coaching Staff

Spartans Women F.C. are delighted to announce the arrival of coaching guru Donald Park ahead of the new SWPL season as he joins Debbi McCulloch’s backroom staff. Warmly known, throughout the football community as ‘Parky’, Donald will take up the role of SWPL Development Coach, as we look to increase the number of weekly training sessions available to our SWPL players.

 

 

Having spent over 50 years in professional football, first as a player with Hearts, Partick Thistle, Brechin City and Meadowbank Thistle, Parky then moved into coaching and football management. His coaching CV includes management roles at Meadowbank, Arbroath, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Hearts, and a caretaker manager at Hibernian F.C.
