Saturday 23rd. September 2006 - Scotland Women’s A Team were defeated   5 - 0 in their FIFA Women’s World Cup match against Germany played at McDiarmid Park, Perth.

Everyone at Edinburgh Ladies FC extends a warm welcome to new signing Pauline MacDonald. Pauline has played football for Arsenal Ladies F.C. and previously enjoyed playing key roles for Central Fife Ladies, Cumbernauld Ladies, Cove Rangers Ladies and Stenhousemuir Ladies – not to mention starring as Captain of the Scottish Women’s national team for several years.

 

Tuesday 19th. September 2006 - The draw for the second round of the Premier League Cup was made by the National Team Coach, Anna Signeul, following the Scotland v Denmark u19  match at Forthbank Stadium, Stirling.  ELFC have been drawn away to play Premier League newcomers Lochee United. The matches will take place on Sunday 1st.  Tuesday 19th. September 2006  Scotland Women’s U19  lost 0 - 3 to Denmark in a challenge match played at  Forthbank Stadium, Stirling.  ELFC's Kerry Montgomery (pictured left) led the team for the first time.

Sunday 17th. September 2006 - E.L.F.C. travelled to Forfar for the second time this season with five players unavailable for selection. The ELFC team put in a stirling performance to secure three points with goals from Diana Barry (2), Molly McKean, Leanne Crichton and an "own goal" . Final Score :-   Forfar 0   ELFC 5

Friday 15th. September 2006 - Scotland Women’s National Coach Anna Signeul today announced the Scotland squad that will play Germany on Saturday 23 September at McDiarmid Park, Perth, kick-off 2pm.
Congratulations to ELFC's Leanne Crichton on her selection for the squad.  This is Scotland's eigth game in their bid to qualify for the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the finals of which take place in China in 2007.

Sunday 10th. September 2006 - E.L.F.C. played their second Premier League game of the season away to HIBERNIAN LADIES FC ----- Result :- HIBS LFC 4 -  ELFC  1  Goalscorers for Hibs were Kim Little (3) with one penalty and Julie Ferguson. Diana Barry was on target for ELFC. With players unavailable due to holidays ELFC were further depleted when they were reduced to ten players after 33 minutes of the game.

 Thursday 7th. September 2006 

Scotland Women’s U19 Coach Tony Gervaise (far right) today announced the Scotland squad that will play Denmark on Tuesday 19 September at Forthbank Stadium, Stirling, kick-off 7p.m. Congratulations to ELFC players Lorna Brownlie, Molly McKean and Kerry Montgomery on their inclusion in the squad..

SCOTLAND WOMEN TRIUMPH 3 - 0 OVER BELGIUM in their International Challenge Match at RJ Wavre Stadium in Brussels. This was the final preparation coach Anna Signeul will have with the squad before they face World Champions, Germany, in their final FIFA World Cup qualification match at McDiarmid Park on Saturday 23rd. September, 2.00 p.m. kick-off.

   Forfar 1 - 4 ELFC - Goalscorers were Diana Barry, Leanne Chrichton and Debbie WcWhinnie (2).

Congratulations to ELFC's Leanne Crichton on her selection for the Scotland squad who will prepare for the friendly match against Belgium to be played on Wednesday 6th. September 2006, kick-off 8.00 p.m. in Brussels. The match is part of Scotlands preparation for the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification campaign, the finals of which take place in China in 2007. 

Under coach Anna Signeul (right) Scotland have performed well in this World Cup Qualification group where they currently sit third in their group with eight points from seven games.
