Thursday 21st. September 2006 Everyone at Edinburgh Ladies FC extends a warm welcome to new signing Pauline MacDonald. Pauline has played football for Arsenal Ladies F.C. and previously enjoyed playing key roles for Central Fife Ladies, Cumbernauld Ladies, Cove Rangers Ladies and Stenhousemuir Ladies – not to mention starring as Captain of the Scottish Women’s national team for several years. |
Tuesday 19th. September 2006 - The draw for the second round of the Premier League Cup was made by the National Team Coach, Anna Signeul, following the Scotland v Denmark u19 match at Forthbank Stadium, Stirling. Sunday 17th. September 2006 - E.L.F.C. travelled to Forfar for the second time this season with five players unavailable for selection. The ELFC team put in a stirling performance to secure three points with goals from Diana Barry (2), Molly McKean, Leanne Crichton and an "own goal" . Final Score :- Forfar 0 ELFC 5

September 2006 - E.L.F.C. played their second Premier League game of the season away to HIBERNIAN LADIES FC ----- Result :- HIBS LFC 4 - ELFC 1 Goalscorers for Hibs were Kim Little (3) with one penalty and Julie Ferguson. Diana Barry was on target for ELFC. With players unavailable due to holidays ELFC were further depleted when they were reduced to ten players after 33 minutes of the game. Congratulations to ELFC's Leanne Crichton on her selection for the Scotland squad who will prepare for the friendly match against Belgium to be played on Wednesday 6th. September 2006, kick-off 8.00 p.m. in Brussels. The match is part of Scotlands preparation for the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification campaign, the finals of which take place in China in 2007. Under coach Anna Signeul (right) Scotland have performed well in this World Cup Qualification group where they currently sit third in their group with eight points from seven games. |
