Carson Ralton

Carson02Carson has been involved in football coaching for over twenty years since his children started playing. He and Walter became involved in the Woman and girls side of the game when Carson’s daughter Kayley joined Hibernian.

Carson and Walter coached Hibs under 17’s along with Vic Toon for five years winning four League titles and reaching eight domestic cup finals winning six of them which included  two Scottish Cup wins.

They coached Hibs Girls to Runners up spot in both the 2002 San Marino Cup and the 2006 Youth World Games in Gothenburg.

At the latter end of the 2005/2006 season The coaching team of Carson, Walter and Vic started to help then struggling women’s Premier League team Whitehill Welfare and helped secure their Premier League status.

In 2006/2007 Whitehill Welfare became Edinburgh Ladies and the successful trio guided them to a Premier League Cup win in their first full season and a third place finish and then a forth place finish in the SWPL.

In 2008 Carson and Walter held talks with Spartans FC and agreed to join the Spartans family bringing Edinburgh Ladies and Royal High Thistle on board. Carson and Walter then took a step back still helping out with the coaching but working more behind the scenes.

Carson now designs and maintains the Spartans Women’s website, produces the Match Programme and is the club photographer for the Women’s section.
