Fish nets five in SparTON Reserves rout

Lindsay_Cowan_150Lynsey Cowan’s Reserves moved a step closer to securing a SWF 2nd Division promotion spot with an emphatic 17 (Seventeen) Nil win over Edinburgh South at Ainslie Park.

Ashley Fish’s 90th minute strike, her fifth of the afternoon, was the 100th goal the Reserves had scored in League duty this season so far, an average of just over 6 per game.

Spartans were eight goals to the good at the break with Fish already having completed her hat-trick and there was a brace from Laura McRitchie whilst Lucy Brown, Nichola Sturrock and Sophie Cunningham all got in on the act.

There was no let up from Cowan’s side after the break and Sophie Cunningham restarted the goal-fest five minutes later with Brown working her way to a hat-trick by the hour mark.

Sturrock and Cunningham added to their personal tally whilst Sarah Shaw netted twice in as many minutes before Fish put the icing on the cake on the full time hooter to complete her handful of goals.
