In 2018 Spartans Women’s F.C. announced a five figure two-year shirt and training kit deal with specialist personal injury law practice Friends Legal. Spartans players Rachel Harrison, Alanna Marshall and Michaela McAlonie met this evening, at Ainslie Park, to launch the new deal which will provide important backing to the team as they look ahead to the next two seasons.
Spartans General Manager, Debbi McCulloch commented: “We are delighted to have secured a new sponsor for the next two years and will be working hard to ensure this is the start of a long-lasting partnership. We have already built a strong relationship with Friends Legal and we look forward to them playing an active role in the women’s team development. The partnership allows us to continue to support the players and coaching staff to perform at the highest level’’.
Tony O’Malley, Partner of Friends Legal commented: “Friends Legal are a specialist personal injury law practice with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. We try and make access to legal services as straightforward as possible by promoting a friendly approach and employing staff who genuinely want to help people who have suffered both moderate and life changing injuries. It is also part of our philosophy to give something back.”
“Sport and education are a focus. During the last year we have provided partnership funding and advice to Show Racism the Red Card and this will continue. It seemed a natural fit to support Spartans Women’s SWPL side with its motto of #strongertogether. The emphasis on community, education and sport delivered from the wonderful facilities in the heart of North Edinburgh was also of great appeal to Friends Legal and we are delighted to provide sponsorship for the next two years”.
