Julianne Ross Signs For Spartans

Spartans are delighted to announce the signing of Julianne Ross. The American central defender joins the club from Northeastern University, playing college football for the Huskies in the NCAA Division 1.

Ross makes the move to the capital from Rhode Island, USA following an impressive college career stateside. Ross started all 19 games for the Huskies, anchoring a defensive unit that allowed just one goal per game, with nine clean sheets during the season including the post-season play-offs.

When the opportunity came around to make the switch to Scotland, Ross was sure in her decision stating that it was a no brainer after seeing the facilities and meeting the team.

“When I came here, myself and my family fell in love, it was a sure thing. I knew I wanted to come here, I knew I wanted to help this team. Seeing what was on offer really sealed the deal. So far, everything’s been great, all the staff, all the team, everyone’s been so welcoming. It’s been a really great experience and I couldn’t of asked for a better start”

Debbi McCulloch was full of praise for her new signing, having no doubts the defender will fit into both the team’s playing set up and mentality.

“We are delighted to welcome Juilanne to the Spartans Family. Juilanne will provide us with extra competition within our defensive options and will no doubt add quality to the squad. Juilanne comes with an excellent pedigree and more importantly is a great cultural fit for our club as we always look to sign the best players we can but also good people.”

Welcome to Spartans, Julianne!
