The club are delighted to today announce that Louise Mason has signed a contract extension.
Mason, who made her debut back in 2010, is now the clubs’ record appearance holder having made 244 appearances for the club to date over a couple of spells. Mason rejoined Debbi McCulloch’s side in the 20/21 season after a spell away at Hearts.
Over the journey of becoming the clubs’ record appearance holder, the winger scored 38 goals, known to pop up with a goal in a big moment. Mason scored a last-minute leveller in our Sky Sports Cup Quarter-Final to help the team progress in the competition and has most recently added to her tally in a 4-2 win over Hamilton.
On re-signing with the club Mason said:
“I am delighted to extend my time at Spartans for another season. The club has been a massive part of my life for the last 12 years and I love it here.
The club has great ambition to push boundaries which has been shown in the success of the men’s team recently and it’s just great to be a part of that journey. Following that I think there is a great opportunity for the women’s team to push on next season and it’s an exciting time for everyone.”
Mason and the team have one game left in the 22/23 season, at home to Glasgow Women in a 2pm kick-off Sunday 21 May.
