McGill looks for bouncebackability against Boroughmuir Jags

Reserve HuddleWalter McGill’s Spartans Reserves welcome Boroughmuir Jags to Ainslie Park for Sunday’s SWFL 2nd Division South East lunchtime encounter.

After an idle Sunday last week, Interim-Coach Walter McGill and his squad are eager to get back to business after agonisingly losing out against the Meggetland side’s sister Club, Boroughmuir Thistle a fortnight ago.

For McGill, getting back on the pitch is key to shake off the disappointment of the Thistle defeat, “The squad have worked hard in training over the last two weeks.  We have focused on our possession and retaining the ball and raising the intensity of the game on Sunday. I am looking forward to the match and seeing the reaction from the players to the practices we have put in place on the training ground.”

With a strong squad to chose from, Spartans will be keen to get back to winning ways against a Jags side looking to get their first points of the season on the board.

There is no game for our SWPL side this week, so why not head to the Academy for the Midday kick-off as Spartans look to get another vital three points on the board!
