The club are delighted to announce the Mya Bates will be extending her stay in the capital after putting pen-to-paper on a contract extension.

It’s been a bumper week for the youngster who celebrated her 18th birthday by netting her first goal for the club, now rounding off the week with a new deal at Spartans.

Mya joined the club from Glasgow City in the summer transfer window of 2022. The winger has been electric since joining, making 25 appearances while featuring at Scotland U19 level also. Mya has became a key figure for the club, her pace ad technical ability proving a real asset for the team.

On signing her new deal for the club Mya said:

“I am really pleased to sign a contract extension. I feel like I’ve learned a lot in my first year with the club and look forward to pushing on and being a key part of the team.”

Mya and the team are back in SWPL action tomorrow, taking on Aberdeen at Ainslie Park in a 1pm kick off. Tickets are available via Fanbase or if you can’t make it, the game will be streamed live on our Recast TV channel.
