Spartans FC are delighted to confirm the singing of versatile wide player Naomi Sleator who becomes our third signing of the summer transfer window.
Naomi joins the club after a successful trial period where the wide player impressed over the course of preseason. Sleator signs after moving t0 the capital from Madrid where Naomi had an impressive futsal career with ADEF Club Elemental, she also gained international experience at futsal level playing with Scotland IFA. Naomi will wear the number 16 shirt and go straight into our matchday squad to face Rangers tomorrow afternoon.
On signing for the club, Naomi expressed her desire to get underway:
“I’m over the moon to have signed with Spartans Women FC. Since stepping foot on the grounds, I’ve felt very welcomed by both players and staff. It’s a real privilege to be playing for this team alongside such talented players. I’m really looking forward to the upcoming season. The hard work continues!”
Head Coach Debbi McCulloch was full of praise for her third addition of the Summer window:
“We are all delighted to have Naomi join our squad for the forthcoming season. After a successful trial period, and seeing Naomi in several of our pre-season fixtures, we feel that she will add depth and competition to our current squad. Naomi is also a versatile player who can play winger or fullback which gives us additional options for the long season ahead. She has good pace, great deliveries from the wide areas and has an eye for goal.”
Naomi and the squad get into competitive action tomorrow at Ainslie Park, kicking off the new Scottish Power SWPL at 1pm v Rangers.
