After their late goal-rush against Forfar in their 2-5 Third Round win last weekend, Spartans have been rewarded with a home tie against Inverness City in the Quarter Final of the Scottish Cup.
Debbi McCulloch’s side will face the fellow SWPL outfit on Sunday 28th September at Ainslie Park. It’ll be the first time this season Spartans will play a Cup tie in front of their home support as the search for silverware continues.
The other ties see Glasgow City welcome Hamilton, Falkirk Ladies A – conquerors of SWPL side Hutchie Vale in Round 3 – take on Hibs and it’s a trip to the Granite City for Rangers who visit Aberdeen.
The last time Spartans and Inverness met in league action back in May, it saw Sarah Ewens grabbing four goals in an 11-0 win against a City side who finished the game with 10 players following Becky Dingwall’s sending off.
City currently sit in 9th spot in the SWPL. Their last trip to the Capital saw them beat Hutchison Vale 1-4 back in June and they kicked off their Bottom 6 campaign with a win on the road at Buchan.
