Spartans F.C. Bids Farewell to the McMahons

It is with a mix of gratitude and emotion that we announce the departure of two of our most loyal and influential players, Simone and Dion McMahon. After an illustrious career at Spartans, spanning over eight seasons and 281 appearances between them, Simone and Dion have decided to close a remarkable chapter in their lives.

In their own words, Simone and Dion would like to share the following joint statement: “It is with mixed emotions that we announce our departure from a team and a club that has been a significant part of our lives for so many years. It’s definitely been the hardest decision we’ve both ever had to make.”

“To our amazing teammates’, coaches past and present and all the incredible loyal Spartans supporters, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the unwavering support every one of you have always shown us. You’ve been like our second family for so long, and we’ve nothing but gratitude and appreciation for you all.”

“We joined Spartans together many years ago but  feel it’s the right choice, at this time, to leave Spartans. We have made lots of memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. We are both looking forward to spending more time with our family. It will be hard to adapt to life without football as we have played since we were 5 years old however playing semi professional football and working full time jobs has become increasingly difficult. We will be along to support and wish Jack and the team the best of luck for the upcoming season! Thank you all for the memories.”
