The Ainslie Park side have impressed the neutrals during their previous two encounters with City, with narrow defeats at home showing the progress Debbi McCulloch and her squad have made since last season.

Sunday’s match, at the home of Scottish Football League side Airdrieonians, comes after a break due to the Scotland International Team’s endeavours in reaching the World Cup Play-Offs.

Manager Debbi McCulloch said, “I’m looking forward to a competitive game after the International break.  Last time we met City I felt we competed very well and we have worked hard on the training pitch over the past two weeks to a game plan together which will hopefully see us take something from the league leaders.

“The players know it will take a good / strong performance on Sunday and from what I have seen at training, they are very much looking forward to the challenge that awaits them.”

The match is at The Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie with a 2pm KO.
