We are thrilled to announce that Tegan Browning,  Alicia Yates and Sarah Clelland have re-signed with Spartans F.C., extending their contracts through to 2025.  All three players have been an integral part of our team last season, consistently demonstrating exceptional talent, dedication, and leadership both on and off the field. Their commitment to excellence has been a driving force behind our successes, and we are excited to continue this journey together.

On putting pen to paper, Tegan spoke of the love she’s gained for the club and community over the course of her first season in the capital: “It was an easy decision to re-sign for Spartans. From my first year at the club, I’ve fell in love with everything the club stands for both on and off pitch. I’m really excited for my second season at Ainslie Park and can’t wait to kick on from here.”

Alicia Yates also spoke about her delight at re-signing for a club close to her heart: “I’m very excited to re-sign for the forthcoming season. I have a deep rooted love for Spartans so to be given the opportunity to extend my current contract, means everything. Our performances in our last 4-5 games have motivated me to push on next season  and contribute to our team goals.”

And finally Sarah Clelland, with over 190 appearances for Spartans, was keen to secure her future with a club where she feels she can continue to have an impact on and off the pitch: “I’m really excited to re-sign with Spartans for my 9th season in SWPL 1. I’m ready to continue my journey with this fantastic team, working hard, and aiming for more success on the pitch.”

SWPL Head Coach Jack Beesley commented: ““Yatesy, Tegan and Sarah have been hugely influential players since I’ve come in, both on and off the pitch. They’re three players who know how special it is to play for Spartans and who’s dedication and commitment is absolute. All three were fundamental to helping secure our SWPL 1 status last season and I’m excited to work with them again next season.”
