Following the recent announcement of the departure of Scott Noble, The Spartans Football Club are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced coach to work with our Scottish Women’s Premier League team. We are now inviting applications from enthusiastic and committed individuals, who have a desire to be considered for our SWPL Assistant Coach position and work within the top level of Women’s Football in Scotland. The successful candidate will assist in creating and implementing effective training programs and ensuring the overall success of the team.
The Spartans Football Club are an ambitious and dedicated club who currently compete in the Scottish Women’s Premier League 1. Throughout the past thirteen years our SWPL side has competed at the very top level of Women’s football in Scotland. Achievements include SWPL League Cup Runners Up during seasons 2010/11/12/13, Scottish Cup Runners Up in 2014 and finishing second in the SWPL in season 2011.
Our philosophy is based around our club motto Live Together ~ Play Together ~ Win Together. It is an ethos that is followed diligently by every single player and member of staff. Everybody is valued, and everybody makes a positive contribution. We strive to promote an environment in which players, coaches, and volunteers within football are given the opportunity to participate and excel in their respective areas. The outstanding facilities at the club’s training and matchday ground, Ainslie Park Stadium, provide players and staff with a high performance environment for all squad training sessions and home fixtures.
The commitment is 12 hours per week, covering three training sessions plus SWPL matches on a Sunday as required. Applicants must hold the relevant coaching qualification of the UEFA B Licence or above and be willing to undertake the UEFA A Licence course within the next twelve months.
