A point a piece at Ainslie Park as our SWPL meeting with Hibernian as the game runs out a two all draw.
Spartans looked to get off on the front foot as Bates looked to threaten down the left wing, her early through ball to Galbraith has Haaland running quick off her line to collect.
Hibs would quickly have their own half chances as Adams has a shot well blocked by Robyn McCafferty. Dean Gibson’s side would win a free kick moments later, with Hunter heading well clear of Yates’ goal.
Clelland makes a superb run forward in the 26th minute as the full back beat a number of Hibs players on her way to the 18 yard box but her cut back just misses Mason. Spartans would find the breakthrough on the half hour mark, Marshall with an inch perfect delivery to Galbraith who finds herself free in the box to nod the ball into the bottom corner.
Hibs put on the pressure on soon after to find the equaliser, Lawson shooting wide from a Hibs corner. Hibs won a corner just before the half time whistle, the ball fell to Mustafa who powered home from inside the box to level for the visitors and see us into the half on level pegging.
The second half continued in the same fashion as the first, with lots of end to end football being played. On the hour mark, Hibs earned a free kick on the wing, Ria McCafferty was well placed to head the ball off the line to keep us level. Hibs would find the goal to put them ahead in the 67th minute, Hinds looping the ball into the back post area and finding the back of the net.
Spartans would find an instant response through captain Alana Marshall, Kat Smart tripped on the edge by Hunter to earn the free kick. Ever reliable from set pieces, the captain fires the ball into the bottom corner which is too powerful for Halaand in the Hibs goal.
No more in the way of chances for the rest of the game and both teams take a point away from the match, leaving Spartans unbeaten at home and remaining a point above their Edinburgh rivals.
